Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Question:   How is a consignment store different than a thrift store?
Answer:  Thrift stores accept donations of items regardless of quality and typically donate all of their profits to charity. Consignment stores take items and pay their consignors a percentage when the items sell. Consignment stores are much more selective and only accept items that are gently used.

Question: Are consignment stores high end clothing stores?
Answer:  Some consignment stores are high end stores and take selected brands only. One Good For Another does not decline an item due to it's brand name, we are more concerned about the quality and functionality of the items we accept. We have 100s of brands and accommodate all budgets.

Question: What happens to my items at end of the consignment term?
Answer: Consignors are able to retrieve their expired items at the end of the term. Items not retrieved become inventory of the store and either continue to be for sale or donated.

Question:  There are several dates with different prices on your tags, what do they mean?
Answer:  The price of items at consignment stores have automatic discounts after a certain number of days. The number of days and the amount of the discount is determined by the store and vary from store to store.

Question: How do I as a consignor get paid?
Answer: To get paid simply come into or call the store. Your earnings can be used as store credit or paid to you via Zelle, Venmo, Paypal or cash.
